Take A Risk (Zahraa Modather, Divergent)

And what's life without sorrow,
Without fire or snow?
And what is it like to not suffer,
To not persist and let go?
For If fears faded away,
Life is a barren field.
Vast voids play
Making it dull without shield.
And what if emotions ebb,
If we transformed to be robots?
And what if we take the step,
Towards the sea of nothingness?
If adrenaline withdraw,
Where would actions go?
If there wasn't any gloom
How'd we ever know gratitude?
And how'd we ever taste pleasure
Without any stress or pressure?
And how would our hearts gleam
Without adhering to our dream?
Between bitter and sweet,
Between dryness and sleet
Is where we exist
And why we're alive.
Between dark and light,
Between peace and fight
Is where we grow up
In the school of life.
